Control can mean many different things, it could be related to the ability to control a particular situation, or an individual. It can also be meant as the ability for one to control the way they live. The list could go on for a long time but I decided to look at the meaning of control from a religious perspective.
God intended us to have control over our emotions and acts, but as we all know we are often found lacking. All of us try to live the way that God would like us to live but temptation in the form of greed, pride, lust and many other things will cause us to loose control. The answer is for us to realize that we have lost control of our life and ask God to help us return to the right path. Many times we realize that we are not living the way we should, and try to change on our own without asking for help from God and in doing so we fail miserably. God could have taken complete control of our life and not given us an opportunity to make choices but God in his infinite wisdom wanted us to make our own decisions. God knows that we will make good as well as bad decisions and he will always be there to help us if we ask. God only asks us to believe in him and give him our love because he knows we will make wrong choices.
God wants us to control our emotions and not to let our emotions control us. The forces of evil are ever diligent to the weakness of the human race and will put temptation in our path in many forms. If we maintain control, remember how God wants us to live and ask his help we can be assured of finding our way to eternal peace.
Many will be called to dwell forever in the house of the Lord but not all will be able to enter, only those who have faith in God and are able to take control of their life while on earth and live in the manner that God intended will enter.
