His Tapestry

Lord, sometimes you allow trials to
Come my way.
Sometimes it's just a low feeling
I just can't shake off all day.
Sometimes, I feel that the boat of life
Just lost power.
I can't see behind me, or even
Through the next hour.
Sometimes joy comes in praise, other times
A deep sorrow...
I wonder how I will get through another
Tomorrow.
Lord, I know you are in control,
You will see me through.
It's the weaving and tapestry of my life,
Your plans for me, by what you do.
That the pain, or sorrow are all part
Of my life's tapestry within your control,
And loving heart.
I am the product of your special love and
Personal design.
I will yield to your contol of my life's tapestry
Not to mine.
I may not be able to see the whole picture,
You weave with your loving hand...
But I am willling to let you contol,
The weaving tapestry of my life...
To your divine plan.

Yes--amen! I absolutely agree. Wonderful inspired poem. Everything we go through is only part of that weaving the Lord is doing in our lives tapestry. Can't wait until it's done...Nice work!
God bless ya, littlelight

It takes a strong man or woman to relinquish control of their lives over to God. But, He is faithful to take two steps forward for every one of ours. Well written poem.

I love the tapestry metaphor--if you work on this again, consider taking out the boat and working more tapestry threads in the early part of the poem. This is a lovely prayer, with a unique rhyme and rhythm.

Lovely poem, woven to give God control. Your sentiments are shared by so many, making identification easy, but the way you have expressed them is really unique.

I like the way you use tapestry to weave the poem together. Nicely done.
