The car spun out of control. It slid into the oncoming traffic. Sydney hheld her breath then pulled the steering wheel as far to the right as the car would allow. She prayed 'God help me. Things are out of control. My life is out of control. I don’t want to die!'"
When she came to all Sydney could see was the blanket of snow that covered her car, leaving only a small portion of the car visible. Sydney blinked her eyes in repetitive motion. The snow was so brilliant-white it hampered her vision. She tried to move her feet, but she couldn’t even wiggle her toes. Sydney flexed her fingers in panicked jerk-like movements,at least she had feeling in her hands. Then she tried to free the seatbelt, but the buckle was frozen solid. Tears fell from her eyes, 'Lord, why did I act in haste? Mark was right, I am a control freak. How could I end this marriage over something so stupid?'"
Sydney woke up to the sound of paramedics working feverishly to revive her. She heard the sound of sirens and there was movement. Then she snapped to
she was in an ambulance. She whispered a thank you to God.
Someone was holding her hand and stroking her long auburn hair. The touch was familiar and safe and tender. She opened her eyes, it was Mark!
Sydney whispered 'I love you.'" Mark didn’t need to speak, his expression said it all.
