In an attempt to write something humorous, I turned to my classmates here on campus and asked them for their first reactions to the word ‘space’. These are some of the responses.

“Space...”
“The final frontier”
“No, no, no, I can’t use that! It’s too cliché!”

“Space…”
“Airplane!”
“What?!”
“Airplane uses airspace.”
“That’s true.”

“Space...”
“I don’t know...emptiness?”
Interviewer nods sagely “That is very true.”

“Space...”
“Muppets™!”
“Muppets?”
“Yeah, Gonzo is from space.”
“Hmm. That does explain a lot about his chicken thing...”

“Space...”
“Aliens.”
“Like ET?”
“Yup.”
Grins “ET phone home”

“Space...”
“Space time continuum.”
“Okay…”

“Space.”
“I think of outer space, with the planets and stuff.”
“That is the first time I’ve got that answer so far.”

“Space...”
“I have space for you in my heart.”
“Awww…”
“Wait...that’s it!”
“What’s it?”
“How much space do you have in your heart?”
“A lot. Why?”
“Really?”
“Yeah, why!”
“So, how much space do you have in your heart for Christ?”

“Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts.” Deuteronomy 6:5-6 (NIV)

Cute way of doing the topic though some parts were hard to follow. I loved the ending though!

Very original and refreshing.

Good conversation starter for witnessing. Wonder how many other words can be done in the same manner and used effectively for Christ? Nicely written.
