In the early morning, the darkness of ending
Night.
The day breaks forth with that brilliant touch of
Light.
I look up into the heavens, beholding all the glory
Of the stars.
In the vastness of space, your hands hold all them
Including the galaxy of Mars.
I look out there in all that space, in awe of every
Twinkling star...
I feel your closeness, and awesome presence,
So close to where you are.
My mind cannot understand, nor can it ever begin
To know what lays beyond this earth.
But, I do know that you created all, you even knew
Me before my birth.
Just as the day breaks forth, I am caught breathlessly
In the rising sun,
Trying to catch the last moment of night, as the new
Day has begun.
The space between light and darkness, a time measured.
God, you called it day and night...
From each gentle sway of early morning darkness, to the
Rising sun it's glistening rays of light.
Father God, my soul stays in awe your creation,
That I see all around me here on earth.
May all creation give you praise, deserving of your
Divine worth.
