CLUTTER!! CLUTTER!! CLUTTER11
Do you have a guest you don’t want? I might just have the perfect solution for that problem--just to let them visit my house!! Just think!! All I’d have to do is let them try to do anything in my house!!
First, they need to open up a kitchen cabinet door. The sound of various boxes and stacked glasses hit the floor!! Next, they probably would be a bit hungry; so let them peek into the icebox. A good spill of a stacked and wobbly balanced jar of any left over food with a colorful mass of green growth on it might ensure no nibbling from my icebox!! Just think, to really get rid them—almost fiendishly, they need to open the freezer—a guaranteed good bump on the head—or, if that misses the head, then the foot. Probably a resounding cry of agony would rend the air!! Hey, I know, they might try hanging up their coat or any other item of clothing—good luck! A finger might get damaged while trying to move over the endless hanging rack of clothes—in my closet—or any other closet. How about their even trying to set their drinking glass down (assuming they actually made it to getting their coke in a glass with ice) to ensure a wonderful cold spill as they try to sit in the chair. I imagine the avalanche of stacks of papers and books would also cave in on their feet or lap. And, lastly, if all that doesn’t get them, they might just walk on the rug anywhere. My little puppy might indoctrinate them to the wonderful smell of puppy poop and yellow goo.
It’s amazing how few visitors—even ones I really want—like God. I just might be overly concerned with “have, have, have”.
Wait a minute! Could it be that I am not organized—or that I’ve too many things? Why, do I even have all these things?
But maybe I have wanted just a few too many things—not really seeking after the most important and only needed thing in my entire life and ever—God’s dear presence that I can trust with my life--to allow me to know what is really important.
And, you know what?--it isn’t all my things!!
