VOID BECOMES SPACE

It was a very clear night. Sam looked up to the sky and nodded his head in admiration. My nephew, Sam is quite a brilliant and inquisitive little boy. Some other children in the compound were carrying out there usual routine of moonlight games.

Then Sam turned to me and said, “uncle, God is so wonderful, he put so many things in the space above”. “Our teacher told us those stars in space are very far away and most of them are bigger than our planet earth.”
“Yes, your teacher is absolutely right” I said, “and in fact the Sun than shines brightly for the whole world is quite smaller than most stars”.

My nephew admitted that he has much to learn about the Space that God has given us to explore, and I began to teach him about the little that I and indeed, we creations of God know about the Solar and planetary System, galaxies and the expanse of the universe.

The need to know more about the universe led to the space missions like the Apollo and the Soyuz and shuttle missions by astronauts and cosmonauts. Though these missions have made discoveries, mankind has found out that ‘the more we discover, the more we still need to discover. New Planets and galaxies are being discovered. “How unfathomable are your ways Oh Lord”! Space is expressed in the many Psalms of King David. God “stretches out the heavens like curtain”
(Ps. 104:2) NKJ. “When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have ordained….” (Ps.8: 3)

Space and time are very closely related and God created heavenly bodies in space to define time and season by their interrelationship. “He appointed the moon for seasons; the sun knows its going down”(Ps. 104: 19 NKJ). We see then that Sunrise. Sunset, full-moon etc., are associated with particular times of the day or month. We have gotten used to the phrase ‘within a space of time, because we recognize time is measured by space.

Light travels from the sun moon and stars through space that measures time. Stars are said to be ‘light years away from us”.

With God, void has become space occupied by matter and Eternal Light has replaced darkness. (Gen 1:1-3) (John 1: 4-5,9)

My nephew Sam was very enlightened and delighted. He expressed his desire to spend yet another holiday with me and we both gave glory to God before retiring to bed.

Like the thought you taught your nephew, Void becomes space. The more we discover, the more we find we have yet to discover is so very true. Enjoyed sharing your memory. Well done! God bless ya, littlelight

Hello brother! Praise the Lord! Didn't know this was you that wrote this peice..but that's ok. I just read it again, so I will comment again. It made me think, that eyes have not seen, nor ears heard all of the wonderful things that God has in store for us.
Think of the blessings of eternity! Awesome. You did an excellent job on your story. God bless you always, littlelight
