A man asked Baa Baa had he any wool,
Baa Baa showed him three bags full,
“Son, that wool's as dark as night.
All of our wool has to be white!”
Baa Baa sadly took his wool home,
There unaccepted, he began to roam,
He was a black sheep apart from the others,
Unable to be like all of his brothers.
Baa Baa began to get into trouble,
Living his life inside a dark bubble,
Becoming so shameful of his difference,
A life of sin became his preference.
Baa Baa roamed from place to place,
He longed for a home but he couldn't face,
A family of sheep who were white as snow,
Their way of life he just didn't know.
Baa Baa cried out to God one night,
The way he lived he knew wasn't right,
So suddenly he began to pray,
“Dear Lord, please take my sins away.”
Baa Baa at once felt a gentle presence,
Touching his soul at its very essence,
Lifting his spirit with a mighty force,
His eyes lit upon its magnificent source.
Baa Baa looked up and saw a Man,
Smiling at him with a staff in His hand,
Surrounded by shimmers as white as a dove,
Lighting his heart all aglow with love.
Baa Baa then felt his soul become still,
And to this Man he surrendered his will,
Then Jesus led the black sheep home,
Never again did Baa Baa roam.
