He entered his office and saw a well sealed envelope with VERY URGENT boldly written on both sides.

He placed his Holy Bible on the table, took the envelope to know the content and why it's urgent.

As soon as he opened it, he drew his chair closer to the table and sat down; he rested his hands on the table to read:

Dear sir, glory be to God for His infinite mercy on us. I'm very grateful to Him making you my very good mentor.

As you instructed me, according to the leading of the Holy Spirit, I've been in Aseyori for two and a half years to spread the Good News but I've met stone walls because it is a Muslim community united to resist the Gospel.

I'm like a leper among them.

I've now come to my wit's end and prepared to leave the place for a Gospel-friendly community. I'm only awaiting your reply.
Thanks and God bless you.
Yours in Christ,
Pastor Moses.

After reading, Pastor Jose sat back, smiled, took his pen and a clean sheet from a file to reply.

It reads:

My beloved brother,
I'm always happy to receive your letters. Thank you for the confidence reposed in me. Please note the following points.

1. It is the will of the Lord that you remain in that city until He fulfils all His purpose through you. He will perform His promises.

2. You've come to your wit's end not God's. Is this true?

3. Please avoid the common ministerial mistake of "evil replacements". Do not replace the Holy Spirit with your knowledge. Avoid certificate intoxication.

So many people of God are fond of neglecting the Spirit of God. Only The Comforter at work knows the secret things of God and reveals them to those who fear Him.

4. Maintain your holy standing and walking with God.

5. Continue to pray ceaselessly. How often do you ask "Lord, what do you want me to do?" before you take any step? If you've not been doing this, start today.

6. Be closer to the Holy Bible, in it you'll find the extra courage needed.

7. Finally, you need to learn how to wait for God's time. Add patience to it.

I hope to read your testimony soon.

Thanks and God bless you.
Pastor Jose.

Six months later, another letter came from the mentee:

Sir, thanks for your regular wise, Holy Spirit-inspired suggestions.

After reading your last letter, I decided to resign to myself for three days to ask "Holy Spirit, what do you want me to do to win this community for Christ?".

On the night of the third day, He spoke to my mind "Son, you will visit the Sheik who holds the authority over the inhabitants of this city. You'll dress like a sheik on a Friday evening when the Jumaat service is over. I'll be with you to give mercy and favor. He suffers from an infirmity that makes him to urinate uncontrollably and in unexpected places. I want to win the city using this point of need. The earlier you do this, the better."

The next Friday, I went to him and was led to his room.

He could not sleep on his expensive bed but a urine saturated mat.

I prayed for him and was healed.

"Ma salaam, where did you come from that I may come to know how to employ the power of Isa's spirit to heal? I'll bring my family members to your service, insha Allah, for worship."

I smiled, nodded, robbing my hands together and declared, "I'm living in this city."

"Where?" He asked wide eyed.

"In the first house on the right when coming from Aseyege. My worship center is in the bush near that house: a small shelter with six benches."

"Do you mean you're the Jesus man we've hated all this while?" his head dropped, unable to look up for sometime.

"Henceforth, I, my household and the community will follow your Jesus. Tell us what to do and we're ready to do it. We'll convert the mosque to your worship center." he declared authoritatively.

It was then that I know that I was sent there to succeed in Christ by Christ and for Christ!

Thanks for your support.

Yours in Christ,
Pastor Moses.

Beautiful story and message that the Holy SPirit brings us to where we should be and will work through us, in His time and His will.

Nicely done, I enjoyed this very much.

God bless~

WOW! This is a wonderful story. I loved the close relationship between these men of God. The extra time in prayer and seeking direction of the Holy Spirit led to a miracle...
