Nearing the end of my Bible college years away from home my desire to expand my adventures to Europe and help spread the Gospel increased. After much deliberation my path seemed clear. I researched the cost, began to set things up with missionaries in the places that I wanted to visit, and spoke to my pastor. Iím not sure whether it was the following week or two weeks that my thoughts instead began to turn homeward. I have two younger sisters and especially two cousins that continued to pull on my heart strings. So it was after much prayer that I returned to speak with my pastor about canceling my plans for the missionís trip.

After graduation I returned home and began the steps that have taken me to where I am today, about six years later, bowling with my parents, and uncle, and two siblings on a Wednesday morning because Iím off ďworkĒ for a week. The Lord has blessed me in being able to care for three of my youngest second cousins Monday through Wednesday. I also spend Thursdays with two of my youngest first cousins. All are under age 10 and so often I enjoy the whims and curiosities of a second childhood. Yet, it also gives me great opportunities to expand their knowledge of God and the Bible. Many times they are the ones that incite the talks of what heaven will be like or how Jonah came to be in the belly of the whale or what Daniel mustíve done while he was in the lionís den.

While there are still days and weeks that I wish to expand my footsteps to other places God is teaching me to be content where I am (Philippians 4:11 KJV). He has asked me to expand my horizons in different ways and with some new people in my life. Isaiah 55:6-11 KJV expresses how life altering the Lordís ways can be! So I will take a lesson from the mountains and the trees in Isaiah 55:12 KJV so that I can dance and sing as I celebrate the joy God has given to me!

We don't always know where we will be or what we will be doing when we follow the Lord's leading.

Is he leading you in the area of writing also?

Follow his leading.

Lovely to read of your acceptance of God's will in your life.

You had many more words to work with; I'd suggest that you add specific anecdotes or conversations that will help the reader to better understand your decisions and to feel as if we know you better. For example, even after reading this I don't know your gender or your age. Adding more personal touches and specific events will help you to draw the readers in.

Your writing shows great promise, and I encourage you to keep at it!

Like Jan, I would like to know more about you.

I do like your message and I am confident you will succeed at whatever you do as long as you continue following God's leading.

Thanks and keep writing.
