Palms 62:5 (KJV)

My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from Him.

External Godly expectation
Internal Godly expectation
And Carnal Godly expectation
Thought about their
Life, hopes, and dreams
And this is what their internal and external
Cognitive heart maps thought and said.

External Godly Expectations
Decided that if everything
Was not going perfectly
According to their earthly plans
God was not for them
But against them
Hence was constantly
Devastated and deceived.

Internal Godly expectation
Decided that
If God was for them
Who could be against them.
That since they believed in
Jesus Christ as their hope alone
That they had already victoriously
Overcome the world
And were more than conquerors,
That there was no condemnation
To those who were in Christ Jesus.
That Jesus Christ was the trusted
Author and source
Of every aspect of their lives
Whether they found themselves
In a Storm,
In a desert,
In a wilderness,
Or in a beautiful
God sent garden fair.
Their trust was in God alone
And their delight was in His word
And so they thrived
And became trees planted
By the rivers of plenteous
Life giving water
Which was the beauty
Found in their glorious
Triune God
And so they found
In every God brought
Circumstance
They were able to
Prosper for their
Expectations,
Hopes,
Dreams.
And true life
Were found in
The never-ending
Exquisite steams
Of living water found
In Christ alone
And whatsoever they did
They always internally
Prospered for their
Source of hope was
Found in Heavenís diadem.

Carnal External Expectation
Decided if
Wealth,
Health,
Popularity,
Blessings,
Were not
Constantly sent
That God did not love them
Or that they were not favored
Yet when God lovingly pursed them
To come commune with Him in the
Precious Word of God to learn His ways
They refused His loving standards of beauty and truth
But only looked to the dry desert land of the world instead
And sought out worldly standards and answers to lifeís questions
Instead of Godís resplendent Biblical view

This is a really creative and original poem. I think it would make a great story as well. I found it quite fascinating. It makes one stop and think, which is always a good thing. The only suggestion might have been to switch the second and third characters around so it ends on a more uplifting note, but idea doesn't always end on a happy note so it does have power this way, even though some may prefer a happy ending. I think you did a fabulous job of writing on topic in a fresh and creative way. This is a really powerful piece. You did a great job.

Very creative free verse poem and spot on the topic. Good job:)

Good understanding of what people exposed to at least part of the Bible may think, feel, or do.

All may go through each of these but, hopefully, end up like the middle section in their obedience to the truth of the Bible.

I sense you enjoyed the manipulation of the line length. That added interest because I did not know what to expect.

Keep enjoying your writing.
