As I laid my weary head on my pillow to sleep
I gave my soul to God to keep

At last my body was at rest it seemed
My mind wandered hopelessly into a
picturesque dream

Balloons like ballerinas danced in the sky
The trumpets squealed as the Band passed by

Dancers hypnotically moved to the beat
As the crowd ran and cheered in the street

For the Celebration
had begun

I heard the voices of men, women, and Children
chanting real low
Join in the celebration as there eyes
began to glow

I was awaken by all of the noise
I sprang to my feet and did it with such poise

I looked out my window into the sun which
shined so bright
My eyes began tearing and for that moment it
was a delight

I was so elated I too began to chant
and sashay
For I knew in my life, it was the beginning of a
Beautiful new day

Interesting way to state the poem, a little work on stucture and beat and the meaning will be much more clear.
