I was baptited when I was nine years old. Many years later and horrible mistakes lead me to the water again this past Novemeber. I came to know the real God and not just the one I read about on a piece of paper. I put my drugs aside and gained the want to change my life around. When a drug addict gets a God given want the possibilities for them are endless.I had been in rehab for a month and God started dealing with me about getting baptized. It was winter and I would have to be baptized in the creek. My flesh wanted to wait until spring but my spirit wouldn't let me. When I came up out of the water my flesh died. I submitted to what God was telling me to do even though it was uncomfortable to my flesh. Since that day I feel a closer and more intimate relationship with God. I eel His favor. God my be telling you to do something that is out of your comfort zone. Allow your flesh to die so your spirit will get the reward.

I especially like that part about saying no the flesh in obedience to the spirit. This story of your baptism is very encouraging; so much more than mere motions for you now that you've been enlightened. Praise God!

You did a really great job with this story. There's a lot of hope in what you've shared. And I like the part about a person's flesh dying so their spirit can get the reward. Thanks for sharing your story with us.
