Sharp the cut
Sinís first bite
Communion severed
Deathís reign ignites
Sharp the Law
The standard laid
Righteousness lost
Our debt unpaid
Sharp the pangs
A virgin birth
Messiah born
Peace on earth
Sharp the spear
Pierced the One
Triumph whispered
It is done
Sharp the cry
Of Satanís horde
Defeated death,
Our risen Lord
Sharp the Spirit
Our Fathers Gift
Comfort, power
Hearts he lifts
Sharp the sword
The Mighty wields
Strength, Love
His Grace revealed
Sharp the word
His living trust
Wisdom, Life,
Strength for us
Sharp the light
From Gloryís rays
Holy God
Him we praise.

Hebrews 4:12 (NIV)
ď12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.Ē
Grace like a sword has cut through the history of Godís redemptive plan for us. From creation to Glory, Godís Grace is plain to see.

Fantastic winning entry!
Your title and your descriptive last line "Grace like a sword has cut through the history of Godís redemptive plan for us. From creation to Glory, Godís Grace is plain to see" were the book-ends to an amazing piece of word-smiting. Congratulations.

This is wonderful poetry. It is smart, and so makes the reader enjoy fully absorbing the significance of each line. It made me think, smile, and praise God. You have a special talent.

This was such beautiful writing! This piece touched my heart as the beautiful wielding sword of the Holy Spirit just sliced through taking me from one stanza to the next which would be the only thing you might want to consider for next time is to have the poem in stanza's, especially one like this where it really needs to be read a certain way. I am so glad you received first place with this and an EC, way to go. Many Blessings...
