Jesus paid the debt owed when he didn’t have to because humans owed a debt that we couldn’t pay. God the Father was the bill collector and Jesus the Son paid the note owed by humans. Jesus paid the ultimate price with his blood, so that we may have salvation and forgiveness of our sins. As Christians, we must believe in Christ and accept him in our life. We must have faith in Him and know that His word is the light and truth.
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth – in Him (Ephesians 1:7, 10). In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory (Ephesians 1:11, 12).
Jesus paid a debt
A note with a price so high
He paid it with the spilling of His blood
To God the Father
In Heaven above
Jesus paid a debt
A note with a price so high
So that we may seek salvation
And know that His word is the truth
To know His revelation
Jesus paid a debt
A note with a price so high
So that when we pass from this earth
If we have accepted Him
We will have eternal life.
