Lesson Plan
In college a very small Korean girl asked me to bible study. As a pagan I was curious only to learn for knowledge about the Bible’s references in literature, so I accepted. We studied Genesis.
Step 1 “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” So there is a God and we should believe in Him. Because there is a God there is order in the world. Knowing there is a God in the world gives a great sense of peace and security- all is well.
Step 2 “And God said, ‘Let there be…’” God created everything out of nothing. God created everything with a perfect place and purpose- even me. I have a purpose! I have a place! I have meaning! I have worth to the supreme creator.
Step 3 “God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.” Everything God made is very good- even me!
Something so profound was happening inside me. A whole new awareness arose within me. I was changing and growing. The only thing I could relate it to was training, training to be nothing short of the only spiritual being I could relate to. I was learning to be a Jedi knight.
