I opened my eye's I thought of Him, but the Son of man hath not where to lay His head (Matt 8:20) fill me Lord before I get out of this rolled bed
I reach for my tattered robe it's rolled under my head I stretched my arms toward the morning sky I got up on my old knees and thanked Him for what I've seen.
I picked my bedding up and packed it I tied my robe around my waist expecting rain today so they say I look for new and higher ground a place to stay dry,
I Looked down at my old dirty sandals I thought of Him and the twelve, shake the dust off your feet. (Matt: 10:14)
The brown bag was laying there I opened it, half a sandwich "oh bless it Lord!" I get to eat I thought of Him, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. (Matt 4:4)
I walk on to my favorite bench I found a bottle of water, the cap was sealed! "oh Lord I get to drink!" I thought of Him, he that believeth on me shall never thirst, (John 19:28) It's raining and time to move to drier ground, the rain rolled off the plastic tarp I put over my robe.
It reminds me of tears falling from His eyes and the water pouring from His side I thought of Him! Crying tears of blood in the garden! Abba! Father! take this cup from me (Mark:14:36)
This is the day you made, I am full and dry and do not thirst I'm blessed and very rich I thought of Him Behold the birds of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? (Matt 6:26)
The rain has stopped the sun is out I feel the warmth on my face and I cry out, "oh!" but I have nothing to fear I know my time is near I thought of Him, I know
I will sit at His feet, and I know my tears will be all wiped away and I'll wear my new robe and lay my crown down at His feet.
