Marriage is a blessed occasion -
When two become one,
As the Holy Word ordains,
With hopes and dreams now focused
On His sacred oneness to attain.
When you speak the words “I do,”
A lasting promise to each other;
You vow, to love, cherish, honor and be true -
Always faithful to one another.
In this special love,
You will learn
In times of both laughter and strife;
To always have your eyes
On the prize of
UNITY - FOREVER
In this life.
Oh yes, there’ll be times when tension surmounts.
No, you won’t always agree;
But you will learn -
If couples always think alike,
Pressing to say, I agree,
One end result is - the time might come
When there’ll be no need
For either he, or she;
Thus, your only hope is trust in God,
Who sanctions holy matrimony.
Allow Him to handle all your minor skirmishes;
Your yeas - your nays.
Let Him build your love daily
So that you grow together
And the enduring devotion
You have for one another
Will abate all the storms you’re .
Destined to weather.
For He will keep you as one
The same as He was -
With His only Son. .

I do see the topic in it, near the end but it feels like a bit of a stretch for me. But I also understand when God puts something on your heart you need to write it.
The advice you give is wonderful. I could see this being read at weddings or given as reading material for pre-marital counseling.
