George was reading in the other room and chuckled. "Don’t let your curlers get in a bind. I can help you."
Verna grunted, “I got my first e-mail from church. It says that I need to download an attachment. I don't know what to do."
George walked over to the computer and sat next to her. "You'll need to click on the paper clip."
Verna clicked on the paper clip. "There's a box that says open and save. I’ll click on save."
George raised his voice, "No, you want to click on open!"
"Don't tell me what to do; I'm your mother. If I click on open, I'll lose my prayer requests."
George's jaw tightened, "Mom, I know something about computers. You won't lose it. If you click open, you’ll download your prayer requests. As long as you don't erase the e-mail you can always download."
Verna turned her head, looked over her glasses and stared at George. "I'll lose them if I click on open!"
George's face turned red. "Mom, please listen to me, click on open. After they download then you can print them."
Verna eyes sparkled, "I can print?"
"Yes, print."
"If I open it how will I be able to read it?" Verna whipped the cursor and moved it over open.
"Mom, you’re being difficult, trust me. It'll go to Word, you'll be able to read it. Now click on open."
"What’s Word?" Verna turned her head and raised her right eyebrow.
George grinned. "It's a word processing program. You can use it to type up letters."
Verna shook her head, "What ever happened to the typewriter?"
George laughed, "People use computers now. They got rid of typewriters 20 years ago."
"Boy, how times have changed!"
Verna finally clicked on open. "Yee-ha! It worked. I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks."

The overall piece was written very strongly. I would have liked a stronger ending though, something perhaps in keeping with the back and forth of these two. But overall, this was one of my favorites!
