My Angel, he must fear to tread with me on my daily travels.
He missed the day I was mistreated.
The day my innocents unraveled.
Maybe he can’t bear to see my haunted soul.
I’m no longer lost in darkness of those treacheries and ties.
But when that evil passes by, a tear slips from my eye.
My heart aches at the hope stolen on that night.
Where was my angel when those hands reached for me?
Didn’t he hear my cry?
He must surely fear to tread near my haunted soul,
Since, he missed his call to watch over the Lord’s child.
Angel I don’t know where you were,
But God has turned my life around.
Though sorrows hurt and wounds leave scars.
My heart was healed by His love true.
So this haunted soul will rise up from the gloom.
She will run, she will soar with eagles.
No longer can he hurt me, my God has saved me now.
So angel wherever you are, you must rise and fight,
Protect the little ones still out there,
Do not fear to tread,
Prevent more haunted souls tonight.

Small editing note: the word you wanted was innocence not innocents.
This really tugged at my heart and brought tears to my eyes.
