There are 3573 promises in the Bible.

Being faithful and trustworthy (the meaning of earnest) is certainly a responsibility of every Christian. Keeping our promises is the fruit of being earnest. Whom should we pattern ourselves after in order to be earnest? There is only one worthy source, and of course that is to God Himself through His word and by the leading of the Holy Spirit.

It is very easy to make a promise. It is sometimes difficult to keep that promise. If we can but consider how much we love our children and desire to please them by keeping our promises, we can perhaps catch a glimpse of the love of God.

Selfish motives, cares of the world or just plain unforeseen circumstances may prevent us from keeping a promise.  Isn’t it reassuring to know that none of these things can prevent God from keeping His promises? Promises that cannot be broken are ours. How great is that?

"Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises; that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world…" 2 Peter 1:4

GOD ALWAYS KEEPS HIS PROMISES

God never says one thing and does another
God never stops working because of stormy weather.

God doesn't stop helping when the money is gone
God is always faithful even when we feel alone

God never gives up or changes His mind
God always provides the need just in time

God never lets evil and wickedness win
God requires payment for every sin

God tells me to trust His Son for eternal life
God says then He will not see the sins I cannot hide.

God holds this world in the palm of His hand
God promises the end will be nothing but grand.

This was an enjoyable read. I never knew hew many promises there are in the Bible. It's pretty amazing when you stop and think about it.

Try not to use the words from the topic in your article. Challenge yourself tomake your point and still have the reader know it's on topic. I think you area strong writer and it'll be easy for you to do.

I liked the poem at the end, some may comment that not all the rhymes were exact rhymes, but I think it works and have been known to use "vowel rhymes."

You have begun your writing avocation! Keep telling your facts and put them in story form. Your poem is another talent to follow. Poetry takes many forms and sometimes it takes on the form of just saying our thoughts. You are a writer!

Nice Job! I especially enjoyed the poem at the end. It would have been nice to see perhaps the whole thing in "Poetic form," but this worked too!

Keep writing you have an obvious talent. God Bless you~
