There is a Place
There is a place where I can go when trouble comes my way;
It is a special place, a quiet place, where I can go to pray.
For me it is a Heaven on earth, it is my private home,
A secret place where I can meditate and talk to God alone.
We strive so much for that great end when we shall meet
Our Savior in the Heavenly realm, and worship at his feet.
Sadly we can’t see the truth that Jesus made so clear,
God’s kingdom is not a distant thing, but actually very near.
I look forward to that great day when all my troubles cease
So I can live with God where there is only love and peace.
But until that time I’ll joyfully dwell in my secret place,
Where daily I can talk to God and meet Him face to face.
You see, my secret place is not especially rich or nice,
But strangely it is the finest place this side of paradise.
Until that time when My Father calls me to depart,
I can at any time and any place find Jesus in my heart.
