You know how they say the exception proves the rule? Well--we're the exception.

While everyone else is clinging to an umbrella so as not to mess up their hair, we're out standing in the rain 'til it forms our hair into ringlets.

While everyone else nestles in their cozy homes watching the weather on the news, we're out standing on the porch, watching the lightning streak across the dark sky.

While everyone else is soaking in the sunlight to receive the perfect tan, we're out standing in the ocean, flying over waves.

While everyone else walks around with their feet cramped into smelly shoes with wrinkled socks, we're out standing barefoot, practically skipping through the grass.

While everyone else is sitting on a fluffy couch, we're out standing in a tree, feeling its thick, smooth bark as we climb.

All of the standing out that we do just proves that the rule and the norm is not outstanding. We're the exception.

I like to be the exception too. I could see myself in the standing outside to watch a thunderstorm or choosing nature over television.

Cute and fun!

This is very sweet...well written and compelling and made me smile

Concise and interesting to read. Well done.
