With a little over 24 hours, she scurried to find an appropriate Bible verse. She was under pressure to present tomorrow at the women’s Bible study group. The group had been together for quite some time and had been through some amazing times. They were growing in fellowship and were destined to be friends forever. For the time being she needed to know how to show them God truly cared for those suffering. She started going through the verses she had memorized as a young child. She couldn’t quite remember where to find them in the Bible, but they echoed through her mind.
In Christ there is no condemnation. She liked this, but how could this help those here on earth. It seemed more appropriate for someone dying. For someone who greatly needed the assurance that their sins had been forgiven after all: they would wake up from death in the arms of their Lord.
The clock was ticking. She should have been sleeping but she wouldn’t be satisfied until she found the verse she really needed. Then the verse appeared as she opened her Bible. Psalm 30:5 “Weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning”. Her head finally hit the pillow.
