How Many Does It Take?

On the fourth day of creation.
God created the moon, stars and sun.
To separate the day from night
So everything would turn out right.
As signs for seasons, days and years,
Which we take for granted, it appears.
How many days to make a year?
Three hundred and sixty five, I hear.
If you want to be more precise
Add twenty four minutes, twice.
Forty-five point five seconds too,
Will make it turn out right for you.
How many years to make a life
With its happiness and strife?
The Bible tells us four score and ten..
Each of us has our own birthday.
How many years we cannot say.
But face the future without fears.
Each day is as a thousand years
And a thousand years as a day
In Godís eyes, the Bible doth say...
How wonderful He is in charge
Of everything both small and large,
Of our hours, days and years,
Till the time He again appears.

i like this little poem which is right on target for the theme. I wonder if you split it up into stanzas(verses) it might still flow as smoothly but allow for some pauses as well

I liked your poem, especially the math calculations.
