To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 KJV
Under the heavens great purposes abide
Blessings and treasure all wrapped up inside
Destiny and greatness for the children of the King
Joy and gladness and every good thing
Starting with our Creator who had a profound plan
Creating the earth, animals, and his masterpiece man
Putting them in a garden and giving man control
Establishing his boundaries and everyone’s role
The Woman persuaded the Man and both fell into sin
Creating the perfect opportunity for Christ to step in
From the foundation of the world Jesus’ purpose stood
To redeem as many souls as he possibly could
In the spiritual realm the fall season had begun
Change was taking place and much evil was done
The leaves of righteousness were falling fast
If God didn’t intervene mankind wouldn’t last
The creator of purpose put himself on a cross
Winter had come and all seemed to be loss
Love was cold and mercy had frozen
Satan was deceived by the death of God’s Chosen
Because death had no power to hinder the spring
The Lord was resurrected and began a new thing
Faith began to grow and love began to blossom
The harvest was plenteous and the opportunity awesome
Now we await summer a delightful season
When our Lord will return and match events with reason
When the Son will shine bright and the angels rejoice
And every Christian will be rewarded for their choice
To stay faithful to Jesus even when it was hard
To take up their crown and receive their reward
The seasons of spiritual life have purposes that are distinct
Follow the unction from the Holy One that internal instinct
There is security in Christ through winter, spring, summer and fall
Outside of his established covenant there is no true life at all
So let’s share the gospel with as many as we can
Fulfilling the ultimate purpose God has given unto man
