This world is in love with logic and science, it teaches us to embrace it, it teaches that knowledge is power. The world teaches us that we don’t need relationship, that we should be self-sufficient, otherwise we’re weak. It teaches us that if we’re in a bad relationship we should just end it and leave it. Our logic brain accepts this worldly reasoning. The world does not understand relationships. Since we get so much of our education and knowledge from this world, we have a skewed concept of what a real relationship looks like. The world teaches us to suppress our creative self, and embrace our logical self. The world says “you don’t need to figure out the meaning of your own life, I have the answer. This is what you’re supposed to do with your life.” The world seeks to destroy it and so we learn to suppress it.
Great learned that godly relationships encouraged him to be a better person. Great knows that knowledge does not supply power, truth supplies power. When we receive Christ, we receive the Spirit of Truth. We can choose to suppress the power, and continue to buy the lie the world sells, or we can reject what the world is teaching. We unleash the power when we allow the Spirit of Truth to be our constant guide. In order to be in tune to our guide however, we must enter and remain in fellowship with Christ.
Great has learned to listen to his inner self and heart knowledge before he listens to his outer self and brain knowledge. Great knows God and has daily quiet time with Him, he has figured out how to make Him known within their world. He surrounds himself with godly people who are transparent about their struggles, he serves God from his heart. Good is too busy for quiet time but prays when life gets unmanageable, he’ll figure out how to make Him known to the world once life slows down and he can retire. This is the real beauty in life, the mystery, and surprise as we seek him and he slowly begins to unveil his creation of us, and we start seeing what he designed us for. God equips everyone for greatness refuse to settle for goodness.
