I still believe that there is only one God,
That the Bible is God’s Inspired Word…
My thinking is out of sync, I think.

I still believe that there is only one way to heaven,
That Jesus is the Way, the Truth, the Life…
My thinking is out of sync, I think.

I still believe that right is right and wrong is wrong,
That black is black and white is white….
My thinking is out of sync, I think.

I still believe that men should have integrity,
That a man’s word should be true….
My thinking is out of sync, I think.

I still believe that actions are followed by consequences,
That a person’s debts are to be paid….
My thinking is out of sync, I think.

I still believe that children should be disciplined,
That parents should tell them “No”…
My thinking is out of sync, I think.

I still believe in the Golden Rule,
Do to others as you would they do to you…
My thinking is out of sync, I think.

Out of sync? Out of sync with whom?

Out of sync with a world that whitewashes sin,
With a world that makes excuses,
With a world that is interested only in I and mine.

If I am to be out of sync, ‘tis better out of sync with the world
Than to be out of sync with the Creator of the world.
“Tis NOT my thinking that is out of sync, I think.
