You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. The just shall live by faith. Christ has set us free from the curse of the law. These are just a few of the scriptures I found to question today.

I went to Deuteronomy in the Old Testament and read chapter 28. Chills went up my spine. My breath caught inside me and I screamed within my mind, What happened?

Everything that was written under the curse was and is happening to America. Where did we go wrong?

Then I found in Jeremiah this; The Gentiles shall come and say, surely our fathers were taught lies and unprofitable things. Shall a man make gods of things which are not gods? Then the Lord said, This once I will show them......

Remember it is knowing the truth that will set you free.

Truth 1. Do you know we were made in the image of God? If you do, do you know what the image of God is? God is a Spirit. God is Love. What do you know about Love? I found, Love never fails, is not touchy, does not hold a grudge. Love forgives and does not keep score of the wrong done against it. Love is the end of the law to those that walk in it.

Truth 2. For unto you is born this day, in the City of David, a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. Who and what is Christ? I found in 1st. Cor. 1: Christ the wisdom of God and the power of God. Now put this truth with the 1st and you have the wisdom and power of Love.

In the garden God gave Adam and Eve one don’t. He said do not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Jesus left us a new commandment. Love thy neighbor as thyself, or do unto others as you would have them do unto you. This, he said, will fulfill all the law and the prophets.

As I started looking at my life I found a few things that were not true, things that were keeping me under the law and suffocating me. Things like do not touch, do not drink, do not eat. Rules and regulations that sound good, but were suffocating the word of God in me. The fear they caused was killing me.

If anyone feels the same way, may I ask you the same question I was asked. Are you working your way to heaven or are you accepting the free gift? Who’s image are you showing to the world; I have a loving husband or I am working to find a husband. God’s image or your instructor’s?

Here are two statements to show my point:
1. Having the most wonderful perfect husband come and find you, ask you for your hand in marriage. Take and build you a house, fill it with nice things, supply all your needs, is loving and forgiving and worth hanging onto. 2. Trying to do all the right things, by working hard, following all the rules, going to all the right places and saying all the right things, to find someone to love you.

When I quit working, in the flesh, and started living by the spirit, I started to breathe easier and found rest for my weary soul.

I will leave you with this saying as a breath of fresh air. Jesus said, “Come unto Me, all you who are burdened and heavy laden and I will give you rest.”

Another worthy devotional which I do believe, hope and pray, will free many others who carry those same burdens. This paragraph was so good, it is worth repeating here: As I started looking at my life I found a few things that were not true, things that were keeping me under the law and suffocating me. Things like do not touch, do not drink, do not eat. Rules and regulations that sound good, but were suffocating the word of God in me. The fear they caused was killing me.
In conclusion...Amen, my dear sister or brother!

This was a very great devotional piece. We get so caught up in things we must "do" instead of praising God for what He has "DONE"

Amen! I could also breathe easier when I started living for the Lord. Great devotional. Keep writing!

This is a charming sermon with many valid points and several things for me to think about.
