Dear Pastor,
Bon Voyage to both of you,
We know this trip is long overdue,
Hope you have a wonderful cruise,
Just swim, eat and take a snooze.
Your five children are all grown,
Their wild oats have all been sown,
You’ve raised them in the right way,
In His steps they are sure to stay.
Take lots of pictures of all the sites,
Relax and enjoy the moonlit nights,
You two deserve these two weeks away,
With time to pray and time to play.
Seventy hours was your average week,
Caring for others and prepping to speak,
You’ve helped thousands know the Trinity,
And secured our hope for a super eternity.
Thank you so much for all you’ve done,
You’ve showed us how to love His Son,
Fifty years is a long time to serve,
A long healthy life is what you deserve.
Now you have time for each other,
Time to relax and love one another,
Enjoy your chats as husband and wife,
Make new dreams for the rest of your life.
God bless you two as only He can,
We’ll need your help to fulfill His plan,
When you return refreshed and renewed,
Please help us develop our new attitude,
We’re praying He’ll show us exciting new ways,
To truly serve Jesus and give Him praise,
Plus more free time for you and your wife,
