Taste and see that the Lord is good Psalm 34 v 8
Taste when you’re joyful,
When sunshine fills your day.
When all is love and laughter
Which never fades away.
Taste….and see that the Lord is good.
Taste when you’re angry,
When fury fills your mind.
When your heart’s consumed with rage,
and relief you cannot find.
Taste….and see that the Lord is good.
Taste when you’re tired,
When your energy’s all gone.
Your ‘to do’ list’s growing longer –
How will you ever get it done?
Taste….and see that the Lord is good.
Taste when you’re content,
When you’re happy with your lot.
When life is good, you can’t complain -
You’re truly blessed with all you’ve got.
Taste….and see that the Lord is good.
Taste when you’re lonely
And God seems far away.
He said He’d never leave you but
That doesn’t seem true today.
Taste….and see that the Lord is good.
Taste when you’re fearful
Of what tomorrow may well hold.
You want to hide under the duvet
But you have to go out in the cold.
Taste…and see that the Lord is good.
Taste when you don’t want to taste,
And taste each time you do.
He’s always there to cheer and guide –
He's promised to see you through.
Taste…..and see that the Lord is good.
Whatever happens in your life -
when things don’t work out as they should,
Or when everything is going fine –
Taste….the Lord is good!
