Man shall not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord. Deut. 8:3
Blessed are men, who for righteousness, hunger and thirst
For they will be filled when they seek God’s kingdom first
When your food comes from God, your mind says, “How sweet”
“With the power in these words, I will make the enemy retreat.”
Oh how sweet is the smell of victory
The battle we fight today is the same battle fought in Eden
Eat a lie and you’ll taste death, but God’s word gives freedom
The battle you fight is for your soul, your mind, will and emotion
Now eat His words, which will lift your soul above all the commotion
Oh can you taste the sweet smell of victory
Jesus said, “I am the bread of life sent to you from God above”
“Eat my flesh and drink my blood, I give it to you in complete love”
The word became flesh right here on earth and we beheld His glory
To be called the children of God, we digest faith as we eat the story
Oh how sweet is the taste of victory
My son, pay attention to my words. Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes. Keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those who find them and health to all their flesh. Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it flows the issues of life. Proverbs 4:21-23 May you now get understanding why Jesus said, Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man, but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man. Matthew 15:11
There is milk in the word for babies in Christ and there is meat for the adults. The best part of the meal for me is the desert, which in most meals is served last. Also with eating at God’s table, desert is eternal life. Come one come all and taste for yourself The Sweet Taste of Victory.
