The snow piled up on a cold winter night. Anne and Marge stayed warm in front of the fireplace. Anne looked forward to the time she was going to spend with a her new friend a famous author. Marge wrote many best selling Christian novels.
Anne rocked in the rocking chair asked, "Who inspired you to write novels?"
Marge sighed then said, "When I was 10 my mom was addicted to drugs and she committed suicide."
Anne looked sad, "Oh my, that was horrible, at such a young age."
Marge went on and said, "We had a neighbor that led me to Jesus. She encouraged me to go to VBS. It was at VBS I started to hear about Jesus and I came to know the Lord. I was still 12 at the time other than sending me to Sunday school the church didnt do anything to help me grow in my faith. I had an anger problem. I would blow up at home and at school. I was sent to the principal's office five times. My dad felt that the anger problem was the result of my mom's death so he put me into treatment when I was 15 years old. After treatment I got involved with the youth group at church. I got to know my youth pastor. I started to study the Bible more on my own that help my walk with the Lord. The thing's I gained from treatment and youth group is that I realized that I was not the only one that was hurting. I got a desire to want to help people like myself."
"How did you get into writing? Asked Anne.
Marge sipped on a cup of coffee put in down on the table next to her chair. "When I was able to go back to high school I took journalism and a creative writing class. I discovered that I liked to write. Then one Sunday my youth pastor preached a sermon on what are you going to reach lost people. The Lord used that to show me that my ministry is writing. That is what I have been doing for the past 40 years."
Annie smiled at Marge and said, "Your story is so inspiring. The Lord really used that pastor didn't he?"
"He surely did and because of it there are many hurting people that have been comfort and found the Lord," said Marge.
"Wow that is exciting; it is good to hear that you have touched so many people."
Both women enjoyed there company together that weekend.
