Bon Voyage for now
Can you image sitting on a large ship waiving to a lot of people on the deck below that you do not know, but feel it is the right thing to do, why everyone else is doing it. Now if we use this as an example in our lives, how many times have we done something, not thinking about it, but just doing it because everyone else is. I know for me that my life was built around other people’s decisions of what I should or shouldn’t do, so I found it necessary to do what everyone did, no questions asked. When I became a Christian though, the Lord put in my heart that exact moment that I would be a seeker of truth. You can’t be a seeker if you don’t ask why. Hence began a wonderful journey of opposition, mostly against people who could not answer questions like, why are we doing this? I found that breaking through the truth of unanswered questions really made a difference whether I would do what others did without knowing why. So as I stand on that ship, I don’t wave at the people I don’t know, I let others do what pleases them and I follow the Lord, remembering always to be an example for those who are shipwrecked.
