Yet, some people read these books.
I, on the other hand, choose not to.
I have, however read the Twilight series. Very intersting reading indeed, if you were to find yourself in love with a Vampire, whilst all the while knowing a Werewolf is in love with you!
Yet, the author grabs us with her romantic notion of love. In fact, the girl involved actually DIES in the knowledge she can have everlasting love with her Vampire lover.
A little bit too overwhelming for me, I'm afraid.
I like humor. I like funny.I like reading Maeve Binchy novels, an Irish author with a great sense of humor. I feel she can actually relate to us women with her great sense of depth, heart and wisdom.
On the other hand, I love to read Spiritual books,Carl Jung for example, a psychologist.Different to Freud. Jung makes a good read by involving God in all of his works. Very inspirational.
There is no surer way to get a book read, than by banning it!
This has been proven time and time again. So, if an author writes a book, which is controversial, the worst thing to do is to say;'DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK', because it is guaranteed to be a best seller.
I love to get into bed at night with a good book! I am currently reading the Forsyte Saga,by John Galsworthy, set in England. This family are nice enough, if you are aware they put wealth and class before anything else.
Which gives me a glimpse of the human condition.
I always think books are remarkable, not only do they teach you about human frailty, but they generally open one's mind to another sphere entirely.
This sphere is all about the author.
If you read between the lines, you can 'pick up' the author's personality.
Good, bad or indifferent.
I am also reading the bigraphy of a British actress, namely Brenda Blethyn. Her real surname was Bottle.
One of 9 children, her book is interesting because she tells of a childhood which was deprived of wealth.
How many of us can lay claim to this?
She persevered and became famous.
Do I want to become famous? No way!
I am very happy being who I am.
I have a wonderful life, full of love, family, friends, work and good health.
What more could I ask for?
Yet, there are people who find my lifestyle is simply not good enough,so they spread their wings and find fame, only to find that they have sacrificed something wonderful in their flight.
How many 'stars' have unhappy relationships? How many divorces have occurred by the leading man falling in lust with the leading woman?
Take Mel Gibson, for instance. His wife has divorced him. His tryst with a Russian model has now come to an end. Exactly one year after Mel's wife filed for divorce.Hello?
End of story.
This again, shows us the human condition.
So many books lay bare for me to read.
I must admit to you right now, I have NEVER read the Bible right through.I have a little insight with the New Testament, however, if I had the time, I really do not think I have the inight to understand the Bible to it's fullest.I would need an army of thologians to explain the me, the concept.
Funnily enough, if I watch a particular quiz show on TV, namely a British show entitled Eggheads, they ask a question and give you 3 answers from which to choose. I may be ironing or cleaning at the time, but I always come up with the correct answer, not looking at the TV screen. These Eggheads are so well educated, it is not funny!Where do I gain my knowledge? I do not know!
Also, I do not know if I have used 150 or 750 words for this article.
I hope you have enjoyed this read, for my competitors, good luck, God Bless!
