I have a friend named Muffin. That's her real name, not a nickname. Her parents actually named their baby girl Muffin Alicia Parks and now that she's married it's Muffin Alicia Parks Bradford.
Muffin is a great person. She loves the Lord. She's kind and compassionate. She's full of energy. She's active in her church and volunteers her time at several local organizations. She homeschools her children and is involved with their homeschool group.
In spite of all this goodness Muffin has several traits that drive me crazy!
Whenever we get together it never fails; Muffin is late and then breezes in and picks up as if nothing happened.
We live about an hour apart so we agree to meet halfway. I don't know how it happens but I always wind up driving 45 to 50 minutes to meet somewhere she suggests.
She can't plan anything. When we are getting together it's usually "We'll figure it out when we get there." Then by the time we "figure it out" it's too late to do anything.
Grrr...it's so frustrating!
But how can you stay angry with someone named Muffin?
Do you say..."Muffin, you make me so mad"?
Or do you say..."Muffin Alicia you drive me crazy"?
Can you imagine furiously yelling, "Muffin!" in the midst of a heated argument?
It's just not possible to be seriously mad at someone with such a name.
Maybe we should all be named Cupcake or Lollipop or Cookie. Then we wouldn't be able to stay mad at each other for very long.
