FROM HEAVEN TO EARTH

Hi...

I havenít spoken to you for sometime now so I thought that Iíd send you a line. Donít be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David, a Savior has been born to you. He is Christ the Lord.

Hey again...

Itís been about thirty years so I wanted to let you know that Iím still here and that I still care for you. Sorry that I havenít written sooner. Let me tell you what happened today. As soon as Jesus was baptized, He went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on Him. And a voice from heaven said ďThis is my Son whom I love; with Him I am well pleased.Ē Guess Who the voice was?

Greetings...

I decided not to wait so long between correspondences with you. I just want to make sure that youíre paying attention. Were you at Cana today? My Son sent a sterling message. It was subtle but if you look for it you wonít miss it. More soon.

Just Me again...

A short note to try to open your eyes a little bit. A BUNCH of people got fed today. That was a good thing but better than that was the symbolism involved. They filled TWELVE baskets with leftovers. Iíll leave you to figure out what that means.

Hi...

Just a short ďone linerĒ. He raised Lazarus from the dead today.

A final Postcard...

For the last three years He has given you signs and words (My words) and blessing upon blessing. Today, you paid Him back by killing Him. At least you THOUGHT that you were killing Him. You picked up stones to kill Him MANY times before. You even tried to throw Him off of a cliff. But you couldnít get it done. Thatís because His life was HIS to lay down and to take up again. I gave Him that permission. But He left you one last sign. At the place where He was crucified, there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb, in which no one had ever been laid. Because it was the Jewish Day of Preparation, and since the tomb was nearby, they laid Jesus there.

ITíS EMPTY!

Interesting treatment of this topic. Sometimes as busy as we get, one of the post cards could have read, Why don't you answer?

Very nice! Well written and inspiring. I did see one thing though, on the last postcard entry, you put "today" that He was crucified, and in the same "postcard", you mentioned His resurrection. Just a minor detail. Great piece, thanks alot for writing it.

Paul, I definitely wanted to encourage you with this particular entry. I really like your style and sense of humor. I am really looking forward to seeing you develop and grow as you keep entering the Challenge. I believe that this particular piece was one of your best so far. I was judging Level 1 that week, and thought it was a very clever take on the subject. Keep rising to the Challenge and stretching yourself, and I'm fairly confident that you will do well in the future. With love, Deb (Challenge Coordinator)

You made me weep. This tugged at my heart and I wept. That's what I needed! Thanks so much. You made my sabbath reading a delight all day today. Don't EVER quit writing...if only just for a fellow semper fi..USMC
