The weather report said yesterday that we would have a nice day today. It would be warm and sunny in the high 60’s. My husband and I belong to a classic car club, so plans were made to take our 1968 Ford today.

We have belonged to this club for three years, and really enjoy the time as we admire each other's cars, and catch up on who has spare parts, a car for sale, or just a time to socialize .

Some of our cars are in the fixer upper stage, while others have finally finished restoring their's and are proudly showing them off. We have all given information and suggestions on what they should do, or not do, so feel very much a part of the restoration.

We have begun to attract the youth and feel very proud when they check out our cars, and then ask us if we would help them restore something they have found. Sometimes what they have found is not worth what they paid for it, while others have come upon a real gem and in no way tell us what it costs, or what they intend to do with it.

This is the fun part of it though, because the young boys know that what they have found is something we might have bought if we had found it.

Well, as nature would have it, there was a big change in our plans. My husband had woke early to make coffee. I heard him growling around in the kitchen so decided to find out what was wrong. As I walked into the kitchen, he was looking out the window, he turned around and said "look, outside” I went to the window and everything was covered with a blanket of white.

We just stood and look at each other and then my husband said, “Let’s call everyone and just meet for dinner. Of course you can imagine the look of horror (wrong) on my face as I began to make calls.

I did not have to cook. Yipeeeeeeeeee
