All of a sudden a loud noise rolled down the street. That noise turned out to be a school bus that was aqua with a white roof. It stopped at this blue house with white trim. It was the home of Betty Frost who was the children's ministry leader at Bethany Church. She had a bus come out to pick up her neighborhood kids, and take them to vacation Bible school.
"Hey you guys, only one person at a time can get on the bus," as Betty smiled. It made her happy to see kids enthusiastic about going to VBS.
The bus pulled off and Ken spent another day at VBS.

There was this small bridge that the bus had to cross before it got to the church campus. There was a big bump where the bridge connected with the road. Kids loved to sit in the back of the bus and jump up and down in their seats.
"Kids, settle down, you might get hurt if you bounce up and down," as Betty was concerned for their safety.
They went over the bump and the kids screamed with joy because the loved those bump's in the road. I will never forget that bump on the bridge.

One of Betty's responsibilities was to lead worship, "Ok kids the left side will sing allelu, and the kids on the right side will sing praise ye the Lord."
"One two three......."

Then there was the fond memories of the lessons and the craft's we would make. We would get a 15 page glossy magazine that would have our Bible lessons in it. The colorful pictures, cut out's and things we would haft to paste would help me understand the lesson.
Betty was also my teacher,"You can make the basket drop from the window. Paul had to escape from his enemies, because he told people new things about Jesus. The people did not understand at that time."

My Childhood memories of Betty were the building blocks of my faith. Betty had a positive affect on my faith. I would build on my faith with Jesus for years to come.
