Feel the sun splash free
Through clear blue glass
As hills burn
With the cool dappled
Season’s fire.
Let yesterday’s tinge
Reborn midday
Warm the soul
Soaking in summer
Dreams inspire.
See stars twinkling high
Winking in their
Own fire
As autumn’s chill builds
The gath’ring night.
Let tomorrow’s hinge
On frosty doors
Remind us
That each new season
Bears its own plight.
The today of then
Will not return
So now bask
In the chill-edged glow
Of now and then.
We stand now between
What was and will.
Live in it.
Life was and will sleep
But Spring comes when
Earth receives Him again.
