The hustle, bustle, of the springtime,
Has given farmers a slight reprieve.
The lazy, hazy days of summer,
Have arrived, the springtime must leave!

Thereís rustling green leaves of fields of corn,
The soybeans are closing up the rows.
And, from the yardís little flower beds,
Thereís the fragrance of fresh, blooming rose!

Time for a stroll along the river,
Enjoying some of Godís gifts to men.
More time to study our Godís true Words,
As we relax in our little den.

More time to praise God for gifts of rain;
And the redeeming life of His Son!
More time to pray for our grandchildren,
And to thank Him for all He has done.

Yes, we have more time to reminisce,
Ways He has guarded us through our years;
How lovingly He has given us
More smiles than He has given us tears.

Yes, summertime is a special time,
To relax, and yet prepare for fall.
Thereís a reason for each new season,
Letís thank our Maker for them all!
