Time by nature is elusive. Everyday it escapes us. We have good intentions to entertain it. We promise to do this or to do that. We youthfully seek it. We want to capture it. We even stress over it. We say, ďin a minute we will get to it when we have timeĒ. But it routinely wastes away.

We want to spend it with our families and friends. We really intend to. We have community events and charities we try to spend it on. We actually plan to. We even complain that we donít have enough of it.

Although we are not aware of it, time is our own worst enemy. We canít harness it. We canít control it. We canít seem to catch up with it or slow down for it. Time has itís own mind and is determined. It wonít wait and once it is gone, it is not coming back. We take it for granted and yet we still think we can always find it!

We need to learn to respect time. We can and should develop a friendship with it. We can learn to work with it. We can allow it to work for us and utilize itsí many benefits.

It will allow us to observe and serve, to care and share, to stay and pray. It will give us an opportunity to think and also allow us the habit of thoughtfulness.

Time can usher us into the twilight years of life where we will reflect on our life choices. We could realize our friendship with time was the BEST choice we ever made.

If managed wisely, time will allow us to do and see the things that matter most. It will grant us great memories of years well spent.

After all, time gifts us with the twilight years of life. How we treat time today will determine the magnitude of that gift.

Powerful-identified truths, of course; their magnitude, of which, however, at times, stretched your writing skills ability to showcase. Please, keep writing, you have much of value to say. Bryan. 10Jul09Fri.
