Before the first hint of darkness crept over the horizon,
You were there.
Like a solid rock, you were the firm foundation on which I could prevail against volatile times.

And when the torrential rains pummeled the core of my soul,
And the bitter winds shrededd my hope into fragments of dust,
You were there.
Like a dedicated potter, you held my life in your hands--
Reshaping the broken pieces into a beautiful work of art to be used for your glory.

Like a lost child I called out to you.
But all I could hear were the shrieks of anguish and fear all about me.
I tried to find my way back to the safe shelter of your arms,
But the black clouds of despair obscured my view;
Creating ghostly images in the night.
And still you were there.
Like a tender shepherd, you carried me through the darkness, holding me close to your heart.

And when the storm subsided, and the last remnants of darkness ebbed away,
You were there-
Reminding me of your continual presence, and teaching me to trust in your sovereign ways.

I like the approach you took with this. Your story is interesting and caused me to want to read the next line to see where you wold bring in light. I did not think you did in a direct way and was a little disappointed. Still over all a good story.
