Mold Me Jesus

Oh Lord please soften my heart this day,
I felt parts of me slipping away,
The gentle touch of your hand
has lead me away from desert land.

Where the ground is dry
And I ached and thirst,
Harsh was the sun and the wind
I feared the walk would never end.

Mightily your love rained upon me
Washed away the dust so my eyes could see
I looked to find you are so near,
I learned that I have nothing to fear.

My feet are sore and my skin is burned
From the place I walked to grow, to learn
I donít regret the harsh landscape
You brought me thru to awake.

Now a time to finally share love & life
Bittersweet glory sharp as a knife,
You have cut away the shame,
And now I am covered by your name.

Let us know Lord while we stand
When we are to melt away like sand,
And guide us then to hold strong,
On the rock that is our song.

I like this prayer. One little note: the proper spelling of 'thru' is 'through.'

I like this poem. Good rhyming. Keep writing!
