I was glad to hear that you finally overcame that cold that you had during Christmas. I appreciate that you didn’t share it with me. Classes are going well. I have a big test coming up in Psychology. It is going to be hard! Please pray for me. The test is a week from Tuesday.
We got a new roommate this semester. Now there are four of us in that little room. I miss having the extra space in the closets, but I’m not complaining too much. Unfortunately, I have a roommate who is complaining a lot. See, our new roomie is always hot. I mean she is like the queen of hot. Every time she is in the room, she turns down the heat to 57 and opens the windows just a crack. Remember this is winter in Wisconsin. I have had to wear my winter coat in the room on more than one occasion. Miss Hot really bother another of my roommates, who is always cold. Miss Cold likes to keep the room at a balmy 84. Miss Cold was not happy the first day that Miss Hot changed the temperature. A cold war has started between Miss Hot and Miss Cold over who controls the thermostat in the room. They don’t speak to each other about the problem; they just turn the dial every time they walk in the door. I now wear short sleeves under my winter coat. I never know if I will be stepping into the Arctic or the Tropics.
I fear that soon this cold war will heat up to a full blown conflict. I long for the peaceful days, when the room was kept at a comfortable 72. In the mean time, would you please send me an electric blanket and a small fan? I’m going to need both if I am to survive Miss Hot and Miss Cold. Hug Dad for me.
Love,
Kelly
