I get up six in the morning
Praise flowing from my heart without any prompting
Each task will come with its own battle
But they won’t be bad enough to rattle

I start to take a shower
Oh! I’ll make the Land Lord cower
Its ten degrees cold out there
And the heater’s not working in here

Look at the time, I’m late for work
Snatch up my keys ‘cos I won’t take a walk
No! Someone’s broken my wind screen
I just want to throw my head back and scream

Marched down to the neighbours
Knocking loudly on all doors
They seemed to have left early to avoid my fuss
They’ll be back; I’ll make them pay for my loss

Ran to the stop to catch a train
Little old man, been out here in the rain
I dropped a few Naira in his hand
Could hear the angels sing, the heavenly band

Breezed into work, joy making my heart flutter
But someone’s been on my computer
My review documents were properly filed
Now they’ve been deleted and I’m so riled

I kick at the table in tremulous anger
I can’t start working all over
Tea cup and saucer come crashing down
I blink and feel like an errant child right now.

I pray for grace
I need to win this race
What do I do lord? I need to be told
Because Now I’m hot, then I’m cold

Boy! This poor soul really needs a vacation, doesn't he/she? But for the Grace of God....
Interesting entry for Hot and Cold!

Smile...we all have days like this.
Try to keep your lines in the same flow, the same number of beats.
Keep writing!
