“CHOICES”

(Matt 6:24)

I was walking down
The pathway of life
When I came to a fork in the road

There before me
Were two signs to read
And a choice to make I was told

The one was painted in letters of gold
It promised a future of great power to hold

"If your heart burns with lust
For the passion of fire,
Then walk down this road,
You can have all you desire.

This road is well traveled, and many go in;
So why choose the other,
Come join all your friends".

Then I turned to see what the other sign said,
I couldn't believe the words I had read

The sign was weather beaten, ragged and old,
There was no beauty in it, nothing to behold

"If you are searching for love and peace within,
This pathway will lead you To a Special Friend".

CHOICES (con't)

The road is narrow and very rough and straight,
But this is the choice that you must make".

I looked to my left, the sign painted in gold
And I thought of the riches
That could be mine to hold

Then I turned back again
To the rugged old sign
And longed for peace
And a special friend to find

Choices, choices, a decision I must make
“Oh God, please help me
The right pathway to take”

I heard a voice from Heaven in the sky up above
So warm and tender and full of love

"I am the Lord, I'll show you the way
But you must be obedient to all that I say.

Just turn right, then keep going straight
Do it right now and don't hesitate".

I turned to the right, & listened to His voice
"Thank you Dear Lord, For I've made the right choice".
