They went to church and took communion, those people with great conviction.
At least once a week, some every day; you’d thinks it was and addiction.
It’s been going on for many years like it was the main attraction.
But when somebody pleaded for their time, they said, “Please, no distraction.”

There’s nothing wrong with going to church, the Bible says “forsake not.”
Assemble together and worship Christ, for our lives on the cross, He bought.
For as you’ve done to the least of these, you’ve served Me with all your heart.
That’s what Christianity really is; to others His love, impart.

For if your cold and play the game, you might feel good inside.
But if you have not called His name, you’ll not be on the “Rapture” ride.
To live your life without repentance is like playing “Russian Roulette.”
Chances are that you will loose and will miss that Heavenly jet.

To be hot for Christ should be the goal of His mankind creation.
Then there’s no doubt when you need the clout, of your real salvation.
It’s only then that you will spend your life with Him in glory.
He’ll be in your heart, His will impart, isn’t that and awesome story?

In the Bible, the very last book, He tells of cold and hot.
He says if you just stay lukewarm, you’ll make it to Heaven, “NOT.”
He says you must get off the fence, or you’ll be like vomit in His mouth.
Without a doubt, He will spew you out, and like waste you will go south.

So if we die today, what will God say, when we stand before the throne?
Will He high five, say with Me, you jive, your one of my own?
Or will His face go blank, because you did not rank, with the ones who called His name?
For then it’s too late to cope, you have no hope, your next stop is the flame.

So lets say a prayer if you really dare, will you give your life to Him?
You must be real, for Him to seal the deal; it now is sink or swim.
The peace you’ll find, will not leave you blind, for your eyes will surely see.
That the change you’ve made, the plans you’ve laid, now allow you to be free.

Dear Lord I pray before the end of day, help me not to be a fake.
Take away my fear; help me be sincere, with a new life when I wake.
Make me hot for You in all I do, whether north, east, west, or south.
Then You will not have to say to me, “I Will Spew You Out Of My Mouth

You've got some good stuff here--a strong message, and a very pleasant use of internal rhyme.

Some of your rhythm was irregular, and a few of the rhymes seemed forced. Feel free to PM me for more explanation.

Very promising poetic skills!
