The kingdom I seek is in Heaven,
Where God sits in power, on the throne;
A place of joy, peace, and contentment,
Especially prepared for His own.

There, all the streets are paved with pure gold;
Never again, a tear in the eye!
We値l fellowship with all the dear saints,
In that beautiful, sweet by and by!

We値l walk hand in hand by the river,
Which flows freely, from the throne of God.
We値l eat fruit from trees by the river;
As saints explain their contacts with God.

Reunited, with our dear loved ones,
Who walked faithfully, serving the Lord.
Time will never be a hindrance,
And we will never, ever, be bored.

The ungodly will not be welcome,
As they chose to walk the worlds way.
When Jesus comes for His own children,
They値l know Him, but, too late to obey.

The Bible contains the instructions
Of the way we should walk and serve;
How we must give our hearts to Jesus,
Who paid the price for what we deserve!

Through Him, we are given all the strength,
Which we need to follow in His will;
Though many times we seem to falter-
His love, and direction, leads us still.

God has prepared a place in heaven,
The kingdom that will not ever end.
Dear friend, by faith, accept Him with joy;
And serve Him, the greatest of all friends!

Don稚 trust in the kingdoms of this world.
All sinful things will soon pass away.
Sin may bring some joy for the moment,
But you値l rejoice, you chose Christ, someday!

Wow! Very creative. Good job

I think you made a tiny mistake but with great significance:

"How we must give our hearts to Jesus,
Who paid the price for what we deserve!"

He paid the price for what we don't deserve.

I think that's what you wanted to write. Maybe you have another meaning but apart from that, i love your poem. Thanks

What I like about this poem is the fact that it is preachy. It's not there just to entertain.
May I encourage you to read widely within FW and see how other people construct their poems, especially with regards to using a richer range of language. You've clearly got the passion, all you need now is the polish. Well done.

Hi Verna. Just wanted to leave a quick note to let you know your entry, "Where is Your Kingdom?" actually did very well in the Kingdom of God Challenge. Although you didn't receive an award, you made it into the Highest Rankings for Level 1, placing 10th in that Level. There were a lot of entries this week, and competition in Level 1 is always very intense, so well done.

If you'd like to check the highest rankings for yourself, you can find them here:
http://www.faithwriters.com/Boards/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=24937

The highest rankings are posted every Thursday evening on the Message Boards.

Again, well done. With love, Deb (Challenge Coordinator)
