Dale, a blond haired man with a beard, a lay person, walked into the class room and put his Bible down on the podium. "Class, I have a question for you. What is the kingdom of God?

The class is a mix between singles and married couples. Silvia, one of the students raised her hand, "It is the relationship we have with God."

Dale listened intently to Silvia and responded, "You are right. In Luke seventeen, twenty-one, it says that the Kingdom of God is within you. It is about our relationship." As he paused for a second.

"The question is how close is our relationship?" As he stared and looked around at the people in the class.

"Could someone read Luke eighteen sixteen, please?" asked Dale.

Bob, enthusiastically raised his hand and Dale said,” Bob please read Luke eighteen, sixteen."

Bob looked down at his Bible and started to read, "But Jesus called the children to him and said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these."

Then everyone's heads and eyes went back to Dale,” Friends, that is how we need to live. We need to have a child like love. We should ask the Lord to help us love him more. We need to ask him to help us thirst for him. One way is to quench that thirst is to get into his word. There are Bible reading schedule's where you read a couple of chapters a day. You can also spend time in prayer and fasting."

One of the students Brandy raised her hand.

"Brandy, do you have a question?"

A big smile broke out on her face, because she was happy to be called on, "Where can I find a Bible reading schedule?"

"The church has some at the information table or you could go on line," said Dale as he paused for a second.

"One more question before we close,” said Dale.

Bill's hand popped up.

"Bill."

"How has the Bible reading schedule changed you life?" asked Bill.

"Because of my obedience, I have seen character flaws change,” said Dale.

You could hear a few people in the room that mumbled "wow" and clapped.

"We need to close in Prayer,” said Dale.

This was a small portion of a Bible study with Dale. We all can get close to the Lord like Dale by staying in the word.

You did well with your dialogue.
I think it moved a little slow without showing a definite conclusion.
Your message is good. I'd like to see this "tightened" with a stronger storyline.
Keep writing.
